The announcement of the long-awaited Western release of Like a Dragon: Ishin! – featuring classic Yakuza characters from across the beloved series’ entire history and set at the end of Japan's Edo Period – was a big deal for fans and gamers. Storm the Castle

Live Action Teaser Trailer

A lone hero approaches an imposing castle. He wants one thing and one thing only: to know what’s next from RGG Studio. Narrated by a cast of beloved influencers and celebrities, including AEW superstar Kenny Omega and Midnight Mass’ Rahul Kohli, the samurai would fight his way through legions of Shinsengumi to find the truth.

Trooper Card Vignettes

SEGA created a DLC package of playable “Elite Trooper Cards” with in-game moves based around six RGG superfans. The ensemble ranges from a world-famous pro wrestler to a popular V-tuber and a top Twitch streamer. We collaborated with each of them in a video series about their love of the franchise and their Trooper Cards.

Supporting Brand Identity

Design + Motion Graphics

Drawing inspiration from RGG’s wonderful key art, we created an animated end card, custom transitions, and title cards.

Used in both subtle and bold ways, thoughtful motion design elevated the trailer campaign with energetic, visceral animated elements. Brushstrokes, splatters, and gritty textures were brought to life, complementing Ishin’s intense gameplay and hard-hitting narrative.
