Ranging from funny to downright mystifying, Secret Powers takes Internet humor very seriously. The result was a community of players continually delighted at the lengths to which SEGA will go to connect PSO2, its fans, and culture at large. From the creation of inside jokes and memes beloved by the community, to mysterious and engaging ARGs, the PSO2 social presence took off and gained its own identity that celebrated the longstanding franchise, and its fans, in style.

Gravy Hut

Harkening back to memes of yore such as Power Thirst, the Gravy Hut is as aggressive as it is unrelentingly silly. Taking the adorable chicken-like Rappies that are synonymous with PSO2 and turning them into a Kentucky Fried Punchline wasn’t on any fan’s bingo card, but they sure loved to see it happen.

Love a Lillipan

Ever the adorable punching bag, we at Secret Powers felt it necessary to call for support and empathy for some of the more vulnerable creatures of the cosmos, the humble Lillipan. Parodying classic, heart-wrenching ASPCA commercials, we created original music and video to create a funny and memorable spot for fans, and the opportunity for fans to engage with PSO2’s social pages with a special call to action to take in-game photos of their avatars and use the hashtag #LoveALillipan.

Top Dogs

In an off the wall and entirely unexpected turn, Secret Powers created a “Top 10” list for the most adorable in-game dogs found in the Retem Region, that rather quickly becomes unhinged. Fans were equally bewildered and delighted at the absurdist humor, the wild twists and Easter Eggs peppered throughout.
