Helping Start a Riot
In 2020, Riot Games, known for a decade of success with League of Legends, launched Riot Forge. Their goal was to deliver new games to fans of the League universe by collaborating with skilled developers from around the world. One of the first titles under Riot Forge was Hextech Mayhem, a rhythm runner game that was an exciting genre shift for League fans. Riot Forge tapped Secret Powers to help build the brand from the ground up, culminating in an explosive release campaign to launch the game to the world with a bang.

Launch Trailer
The Perfect Kind of Mayhem
When Hextech Mayhem was ready to be born into the world, Secret Powers created a follow-up launch trailer to seal the deal with prospective players. We wanted to show that this game was a party that everyone could join. We also wanted new fans of the series Arcane to feel validated on their investment in the League of Legends universe. The result was a satisfying drop after the momentum we’d helped create through our previous marketing beats.
Music Trailer
Bombastic beats are at the core of everything Hextech Mayhem so we were thrilled to create a trailer that puts music front and center. Simplicity was key for this mission. We let the character inspired headphones lead and designed an energetic waveform-graphic styled for Ziggs himself.

Branding + Design
Secret Powers created the branding for Hextech Mayhem based off the key art from the Riot Forge team. Following the initial exploration, we produced a full brand style guide, bringing together typography, color, and design elements that kept this explosive game contained and consistent.
